Saint Louis Metro ranks 54 of 150 regions worldwide on the "Global MetroMonitor" compiled by the Brookings Institution and the London School of Economics. Saint Louis ranks 11th among USA metro areas behind only Austin, Dallas, Baltimore, Minneapolis, Detroit, Cleveland, Seattle, Nashville, San Antonio, and Charlotte. The Global MetroMonitor ranks regions on the context of past economic performance, employment trends, and projected economic growth.
